Hello everyone! I've decided to start a blog! Of course I want to share some amazing birthday party ideas, but also some great tips for other moms on organizing, planning, and embracing this crazy adventure we call parenting. Most of my customers don't realize that I'm simply a mom running this business out of my home.
I am a mom of 2 wonderful kids. My son is 9 years old, loves outdoor adventures, creating things out of boxes, inventing random stuff, and playing Minecraft. My daughter is 11, and she has dipped into those wonderous teenage tendencies. She's into fashion, make up, Animal Crossing, VR, and friends, friends, friends!
Twistin Twirlin Tututs is my third baby. I started this business as a way to stay home with my daughter when she was born, and it ended up becoming a full time job. Starting this business has been a blessing, but it takes a lot of time and commitment. I've learned a lot about hustling to keep it going. Like kids, it needs a lot of attention.
Planning and Organizing
Before TTT, I was a 3rd grade teacher for 5 years, so I have tremendous passion for education. Planning and organizing is a major part of being a teacher. Luckily, all my skills transferred nicely from teaching to running a business. I have plenty of things to share on how I manage our busy home and keep it running smoothly (most of the time).
Projects! I love projects! If you ask my husband, we are constantly working on a project. Whether it's organizing the kids next epic party, planning our family vacations, remodeling a room in our home, or jumping into the world of chicken raising, (yep!) we are forever thrown into a project, and I love every bit of it.
I also love reading! If I were given a whole day to myself with nothing on my to do list, I would spend every minute of it reading (with a cup of coffee of course). I would love to use this blog to share some of my top book recommendations and to get suggestions from my readers. I mean, have you all delved into the world of Karin Slaughter?!?!
Health and Fitness
Health, nutrition, and fitness is another passion of mine. We are a very health conscious family striving to eat as natural as possible. This takes time, patience, and planning, but it can work for any family. Fitting in time to stay active is also important, and I do my best to find ways to incorporate physical activity into our schedule and still make it fun.
As you can see, I'm excited to share lots of things with my customers and start connecting more at a personal level. I hope to create a community of moms to share ideas, offer suggestions, and support each other.
